I just spoke with John, my brother-in-law and Hildy is resting peacefully and the brain swelling is abating. They have gotten the pain meds balanced so they don't interfere with her breathing. The medical team were able to clean up her elbow today to prepare it for Thursday surgery when they will also do her knee and leg. Her shoulder surgery is scheduled for Monday.
I have decided with the family to keep walking and will continue to pray for her with each step. I so appreciate your support and there is a lovely Camino community here who is also praying and carrying her to Santiago.
Thank you, my friends.
"there are often uneven pavements and rocks in the path", even after 47 years I'm still learning from you. Many thanks. Walk on.
